Privacy Policy

AutoGem automates image-generation tasks in Gemini, ChatGPT, and Grok. AutoGem does not sell user data or use it for advertising.
Data AutoGem Handles
- Prompts, imported text and subtitle files, and generation settings.
- Reference images and generated images.
- Project names, task metadata, filenames, statuses, and results.
- The name and browser permission handle for a user-selected download folder.
- The active supported AI-service tab needed to run automation.
How Data Is Used
AutoGem uses this data only to queue tasks, automate the selected AI service, retain local task history and settings, and save generated outputs. Prompts and reference images are sent to the AI service selected by the user: Google Gemini, OpenAI ChatGPT, or xAI Grok. Those services process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
AutoGem stores settings, task history, prompts, and reference images locally in the user's Chrome profile. The selected download-folder handle is stored locally in IndexedDB. Data remains until the user deletes tasks, removes the extension's site data, or uninstalls the extension.
Optional Desktop Integration
Desktop integration is disabled by default and is not required to use the extension. If the user explicitly enables it, AutoGem connects to the AutoGem desktop app running on the same device. The extension and desktop app may exchange tasks, prompts, reference images, generated images, filenames, project metadata, statuses, and results to coordinate the user's AutoGem workflow.
Users can disable desktop integration at any time in the extension settings.
Data Collection by the Developer
The extension does not send user data, analytics, or telemetry to the AutoGem developer. Data is shared only with the user's selected AI service and, when explicitly enabled, the AutoGem desktop app on the same device.
Data Security
AutoGem limits access to the supported AI-service websites and the optional local desktop connection. Users should protect access to their Chrome profile, AI-service accounts, and device.
User Choices
- Use the extension without installing or enabling the desktop app.
- Disable desktop integration in Settings.
- Delete tasks and their stored prompts or reference images.
- Clear the extension's stored data through Chrome.
- Uninstall AutoGem to remove its Chrome-managed local data.
Changes
Material changes to data handling will be disclosed in the extension and in the Chrome Web Store listing before they take effect.
